“Who am I singing to? Sometimes to my lover. Sometimes to my friends. Sometimes to a larger community, seeking compassion for others. Sometimes to the entire universe, seeking to connect what is good and true within me to what is good and true outside myself. Sometimes just to anyone who will share a laugh. About half of my repertoire consists of instrumentals – so who am I performing to then? The answer is the same. Many pieces are very pleasant, easy to listen to, while others are more abstract, with a bit more edge. They work well for background or soundtrack music, but also give those with more curious ears something to listen to.”
